Greetings! You may not know me, so I'll quickly give you some pointless information about myself:

• I'm South African - proudly Cape-Tonian - and my name is Robyn, though I’ve given myself many aliases over the years, for no good reason.

• I was bitten by a shark when I was too young to remember, but the shark was too young to do any damage, so I have no memory and no scar and not a very interesting story…

• I always loved wildlife and wanted to grow up to be a documentary filmaker - a dream that has yet to be fulfilled.

• My pets have been: one dog, many cats, rats, mice, chickens, ducks, snakes, lizards, shrews, moles… most of these were temporary pets that I “rescued and rehabilitated” for a while and then released back to their homes.

• I lived in Belfast, N. Ireland, for six years, where my A-Level art teacher got me loving art again, and I made some friends whom I miss.

• My degree is in Fine & Applied Art, specialising in Silversmithing & Jewellery - though I always wanted to be an illustrator, but I thought I couldn’t draw “out of my head” so I didn’t try… until 2020.

• I believe that anyone who says they can’t draw should at least try a few hundred times, explore many ways of drawing, and have fun without deconstructive criticism before they can go around saying they can’t draw.
